Most candidates write their complete biography which does not account to a good resume. The HR of any company is interested in only a few but important parts of a candidates resume, viz: Skills, Experience, and Projects done. So these three should be accurate, brief and to the point. The American format resume has become the most trendy and preferred way of presenting a resume. See a sample. Resume in this format is gaining a lot of importance today.

The next important part is the interview itself. At interviews most candidates are occupied in screening their skills and knowledge. It would be better if the candidates understand the company, its needs, its market, its business policy and present themselves in the company's perception. The most simple way to achieve this is by visiting the company's website. Majority of the candidates apply to a company through the company's website but fail to read the other sections like profile, clients etc.... the simple reason behind this is, candidates think in applying to various IT companies i.e; quantitative very little attention is paid to qualitative applying. Also most of the HR's delete resume's sent in word or attachment- Resume's should be in .txt only. This at least ensures a look at the resume. 

During the interview the candidate gets an edge if speaks about the recent happenings in the company, how would he react to the same, and possible suggestions. We suggest a synergy of personal skills and company requirement to be the topic of the interview hour.

Companies at the apex are now trying some new revolutionary ways of recruiting. One of them is hand writing analysis. Though this is a highly debatable technique, organizations are following it.
